One thing I can say is I really enjoy the pupusa loca here and the fried plantains. They are my go to items when I dine in or carryout. It’s hard finding good pupusas out where I live here on the eastern shore so it’s nice to not have to drive over the bay bridge to find good ones.

Wonderful. NOW expanded to Chestertown!! Finally a pupuseria for Kent County!!! How do you know if it’s authentic and good. Go at lunch and see the line of Latin workers who are satisfied and proud to support a great locally owned business. Great location!!

I have been coming here since 2017 and their food is always good. It’s a family own business. Mexican/el Salvadoran family. They are great people. You can eat el Salvadorian food and Mexican here. You won’t go wrong

For the prices we paid at two seafood restaurants ($360), this place can't be beat. I always ate pupusas when I lived in DC 20 years ago. Their side of cabbage is not as plentiful and good as the ones I have had before. My husband loved his chorizo bowl and son loved the chicaronnes platter. Think we paid $35.

We just enjoyed our first dine-in meal at Kent Island Pupuseria, and it was such a pleasure to finally sit down and explore more of the menu. In the past, I’ve only ordered carryout, and I’ve always been completely pleased with the food. Our dining in experience confirmed why we will continue to keep coming back. This is a family-owned, authentic Salvadoran/Mexican restaurant, and it’s obvious they are working with whole, fresh ingredients. Everything appears to be made from scratch, and you can truly taste the difference. I’ve also noticed on many visits that the restaurant is frequented by people from Central America, which is always a great sign of authenticity. For our meal, we ordered: • Chicken fajitas with incredibly flavorful chicken, onions, and bell peppers, served with refried beans, Mexican rice, and beautiful house-made tortillas • A Mexican-style cheese and carne quesadilla, packed with flavor • Pupusas revueltas, served with a slaw that I really appreciated—not overly spicy, which is sometimes an issue with pupusa slaws for me The traditional salsa tomate paired perfectly with both the pupusas and quesadilla. We also ordered extra pupusas to take home, since they reheat wonderfully. We were honestly too excited to dig in to take photos of the food, but I did manage to snap a picture of the fried ice cream, which I hadn’t had in many, many years—and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is small but has a very authentic feel. One area that could use some improvement is the restroom, particularly in terms of cleanliness and aesthetics. As a bit of constructive feedback: when ordering pupusas for takeout, it often takes longer than the estimated pickup time. That said, it’s completely understandable given how busy they are and the fact that everything is cooked fresh, they’re not reheating pre-made foods from Sysco or US Foods. This is real food made with care, and for me, that more than makes up for the wait. Disclaimer: There are a few exceptions to the fresh, non-processed foods. I noticed that the tres leches does not appear to be made with fresh whipped cream—this is a style I’ve seen at many Latin American bakeries and personally don’t care for, as the white cream appears to be a shelf-stable, pre-made product. For that reason, it’s something I wouldn’t plan to order. The beverages would also be an exception, which is fairly typical and expected. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to try more items from the menu. If you value authentic, scratch-made food and are willing to be patient for quality, this place is absolutely worth it.

We stopped on our way back home. We couldn't sit because it was within an hour of closing. The pupusas were really good and the curtido was surprisingly good

Good vegetarian options. We got food to go. Service took about 15 minutes wait for food. It was a full meal! Worth the stop.

Came in for Taco Tuesday and was not disappointed. It was easy enough to get a table and the service was quick. We ordered 12 tacos (lengua, bistek, barbacoa) and some pupusas for the kids. Spoke with the hostess and she mentioned they may bring back mollejas and tripas during the summer. Pretty excited for that.
